Remember to wear your official club gear! Banners are welcome!
- Game Sheets: Any teams who wish to view their game sheets
should bring a USB stick for a quick, easy and eco friendly method
to access this data.
- Water Bottles: Teams please bring their own reusable
bottles (stainless steel etc.) to cut down on plastic recycling.
- Hospitality Room at pool level is strictly reserved for
complimentary use of
coaches, team managers and minor officials.
- Buffet Service~Athlete Hospitality Room: FVWP Club is
pleased to offer a Buffet Meal Service on Saturday April 30th from
5:45pm to 8:30pm in a meeting room reception-side of Walnut Grove
Pool. Please see Buffet Service Information & Order Form attachments
for details!

History of Evolution of Water Polo
- Water Polo is the oldest Olympic team sport; first
Introduced at 1900 Olympics, Paris
- Water Polo Canada hosted one of the first Canadian National
Club Championships in amateur sport for Senior Men’s division in
1907.
- Junior Men’s National Club Championships established in
1927.
- 18U Men’s National Club Championships established in 1985.
- 16U Boys’ National Club Championships established in 1995.
Water Polo Facts:
A very physically demanding game, Water Polo combines the sport of
swimming with ball handling. The usual distance swum by players during a
game is between 1500 -1800 metres. Water polo is a mentally challenging
sport requiring thinking which is analytical and immediate. Research
indicates that water polo players rate among the highest in
decision-making (game situation), visual reaction time, and spatial
orientations.
